If you like Matt Costa and Jack Johnson listen to the duo on “Two of Us.” It’s a great song too. Also, not only do you have 3 D’s, but you have 3 M’s as well.

Here’s my best up and coming list:

Eric Hutchinson. He’s from nearby DC and I especially love that song that he and Meiko do together called, “OK, It’s Alright With Me.” It’s catchy and it’s the kind of song you don’t mind having stuck in your head for a while.

Sparklehorse. Also semi-close by, Sparklehorse originated in North Carolina under a dude named Mark Linkous. It kinda reminds me of the tinky sounds of Owl City a little bit, but a little more grown up sounding. http://www.myspace.com/sparklehorse

Regina Spektor isn’t new, but her new song, “Blue Lips” is. And I personally love it (as I like almost all her stuff). I don’t have a link. It’s pretty popular though.

And finally Cage the Elephant. They pretty much took the South by Southwest (SXSW) Festival by storm. Their song, “Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked” is about being mugged by a drug dealer and picking up a young female hitch-hiker he soon finds out is a prostitute. I mean that kicks ass doesn’t it? They’re from Kentucky, but their jams are being rocked out to the max in Britain. Good stuff.
